The hotel offers a variety of amenities tailored to convenience, including free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast served nearby with added discounts, secure parking (though limited during peak events), and accessibility features. Its proximity to restaurants, historic sites, and scenic waterfront walks makes it a solid base for exploration. Whether staying a few nights or an entire month, travelers will find Perla Hotel to be a dependable, clean, and safe haven that captures the spirit of La Paz without pretense or excess.

Stayed here 3 nights. The hotel staff is all very welcoming. The rooms are basic and clean. The location is great for walking everywhere. Rooms have AC and it works very well. They also have secure parking. Not a guarantee during carnaval but on most days they will have parking for you. I like the Hotel Perla. Don't come here if you want to be weighted on hand and foot. Come here if you want a nice room, parking, a very nice restaurant and perfect location.
Attentive hotel staff with a highly privileged location. It's front steps lead to the "malecón" and the La Paz welcome sign. It has a pool to cool off from the searing heat and a roof terrace to watch the spectacular sunsets, while people watching. The WiFi is taxed with so many visitors and runs very slow. Parking is at very very limited capacity , so do not plan on using it for in and out privileges. (If you arrive back from sightseeing in the late afternoon or evenings , you must be prepared to find alternative overnight parking. (There are some independent parking garages around the hotel within short walking distance.) The hotel exudes an old charm and you can imagine that it has seen better days in decades past. Nonetheless, it's clean , well-staffed and efficiently run by friendly employees. But what it lacks in modern touches it completely makes up in location....location...location. If you are not a finicky, high maintenance traveler you will definitely enjoy your stay at this perfectly situated hotel on the remodeled La Paz malecón (boardwalk).
Old place but really good. Is not expensive. It's a clean place front of the sea. It's old because it looks like a old fashion five stars hotel. But still you can call it a good hotel right now. The have a pool and tubs with hot water
Housing was decent. WiFi was horrendous. Location is the best. Big street and night life happens right outside. Can also see the beach from the windows. Has a pool and employees were super helpful.
This is a decent hotel in the heart of the tourist district in La Paz. Close to many restaurants and the malecón, the location can't be beat. The rooms are tidy, Wi-Fi works reasonably well and there is a nice pool and veranda for watching the sunset. Very clean and safe feeling.
Our original trip was to Cabo, then we rented a car and drove 2 hours to La Paz for an overnight stay. We stayed at Hotel Perla and it was perfect for us. It's right on the main road of La Paz and our room overlooked the Malecon and ocean and had a small balcony which was lovely. We arrived and parked in the small parking lot. After checking in, the parking lot attendant took our car to a safe parking area. We even had to leave bright and early (5:30am) the next day and the attendant was there available to bring our car to us. Check in was very easy and the front desk were extremely nice and kept our luggage for us while we adventured out and until our room was ready. The room was extremely comfortable. The A/C ran cool and the bed was firm. It was also quiet but a curfew of 9p.m. was in place at the time we were there due to Covid. There is a restaurant attached with delicious food and a convenience store on the next block. There are plenty of shopping and points of interest to see around the hotel. The hotel has been around quite a while and has a nostalgic charm to it. If you want to stay at a high end resort, that's down the street away from everything and you'll have to drive to experience the charm of La Paz. If you want to step out of your hotel into the charm that is La Paz, this place is for you.
We stayed at La Perla for an entire month, and it was perfect for us. The hotel is clean; the staff is helpful and friendly, and the hotel couldn't be more ideally located. There is a complimentary breakfast, served at La Terraza next door, of coffee, juice and bread, and you can also get 10% off if you order from the menu (breakfast only). In addition there is a pool, and a couple of great places to sit and watch the people stroll by on the Malecón. The rooms are by no means fancy, but the beds were comfortable and everything was cleaned daily.
A great location and view! If you were to get into a time machine to 1975 it should be the best place. Now it is reminiscent of classic elegant Mexico. You can't beat the location
